    Your fire feature is built from heavy-gauge steel and finished to last through hard weather, and a little routine care keeps it looking its best for years.

    • Everyday cleaning: Wipe painted and powder-coated surfaces with a soft cloth, warm water, and mild dish soap. Rinse, then dry with a clean towel. Avoid abrasive pads and harsh solvents, which can dull the finish.
    • Burner and pan: Keep the burner ports and the pan clear of ash, debris, and stray media so the flame stays even. A soft brush and a dry cloth are usually all you need.
    • Seasoning raw and Corten steel: Raw steel and Corten develop a protective patina as they weather. Rinse off loose surface rust, let the metal dry, and allow the finish to keep maturing. Do not seal it unless you want to hold the current color.
    • Use the cover: Fit the cover whenever the piece is not in use. It keeps rain, snow, and grit out of the burner and protects the finish between gatherings.
    • Off-season storage: Before a long cold spell, clean the unit, make sure it is fully dry, and cover it. Store loose media and the burner pan somewhere dry if you can. Empty and disconnect propane tanks, and keep them outside and upright.

    Gray weathering, light surface rust on raw steel, and small color shifts over time are normal for an outdoor steel finish, not defects.

  • Shipping

    Every order ships by freight carrier on a pallet. Because these pieces are large and heavy, they travel as curbside freight rather than white-glove delivery, so the driver brings the shipment to the curb or the end of your driveway. Plan to have help on hand, or ask us in advance about a liftgate if you do not have a forklift or loading dock.

    • Lead times: Timing varies by product. In-stock items usually leave the warehouse within a few business days, while made-to-order and custom pieces take longer to build. We confirm the current lead time for your specific configuration before your order is finalized.
    • Tracking: Once your order ships, we send tracking details, and the freight carrier schedules a delivery window with you.
    • Inspect on arrival: Please inspect the packaging and the product when it arrives, and note any visible shipping damage on the delivery receipt before you sign. Let us know right away so we can make it right.

    Shipping cost and options depend on the product, your location, and any accessories, and they are shown at checkout or confirmed with your quote. Some states, such as Texas, New York, Connecticut and others, carry a surcharge for freight. That charge will appear in the shipping section before you checkout.

  • Guides & Installation

    Installation should be carried out by a qualified professional, and any gas work must be completed by a licensed installer in line with local code. Confirm gas type, line sizing, and supply pressure before installation day.

  • Warranty & Returns

    We stand behind how these pieces are built. Every product is inspected before it leaves the workshop, and we work with you directly if something is not right.

    • Workmanship: Our products are warranted against defects in materials and workmanship under normal residential use. Coverage, terms, and any exclusions depend on the product and its components.
    • What is not covered: Normal weathering, patina, surface rust on raw and Corten steel, color change over time, and damage from misuse, alteration, or improper installation are not considered defects.
    • Returns: Made-to-order and custom configurations are built specifically for you. If you need to return or exchange an item, contact us first so we can walk through your options and any conditions that apply.
    • Freight damage: Damage in transit is handled separately from the warranty. Note it on the delivery receipt and contact us promptly so we can file a claim and arrange a fix.

    So impressed!

    We were looking for a nice fire pit option that had plenty of heat, fit a lot of people and looked modern. We came across Montana Fire Pits and loved the story of the business and the information they make available. We went with a 60 inch Yellowstone in Black with gray lava stones and are blown away with the quality craftsmanship, performance and look. The sales and service team were stellar! We paid for white glove install but if you have a few friends, not needed as the feet install easily. So impressed and thank you!

    Very happy

    I wanted to finally get a fire pit that will last. All the options I have gotten at the local stores just seem to stop working after a few years. This fire pit is amazing, it weighs a ton and is just build to last, I can tell. It’s not very old yet but the heat and flame is exactly what we wanted. Others all the way up just do not put out much heat. Not this one, very hot. Natural gas fed means no more tanks for me. Very happy.

    If you are looking for the most incredible looking fire pit to build a backyard around, you found the right people. Completely custom dimensions to fit your situation. Montana delivered. Worth noting during shipping ours suffered some surface level issues but Montana was 100% responsive and resolved all issues immediately. They stand behind their work. It's rare to find these days. Aside from an amazing looking firepit, it has a warming trends burner which is the hottest available and steel lids as well for added functionality during the day. You can't ask for anything more.     Very responsive, high quality, and very professional

    Montana Fire Pits as far as I can tell, curates their offerings to include only high quality products. The warming trends burners are not in the same category as your average gas fire pit burner. We sit outside on our deck in the Colorado mountains when it's 15 degrees F in the winter (with blankets and sweaters) and manage to stay warm. The Lumera fire table is very high quality... substantial, heavy, beautifully finished. The best quality, though, about Montana is their customer service. Our family are customers for life after how well we were taken care of by Montana from answering questions before purchase, all the way through solving an issue we had with the first product we received. In an age of customer service chat bots and hour long phone hold times they spent months personally following up via REAL email addresses, letting me work with people with authority to take action and fix my problem, and ultimately delivering what we needed to make sure we were satisfied. I was so impressed and will enthusiastically recommend them to anyone!

    The best choice for your backyard!

    From the moment we decided to build a fire pit area into our backyard design, we knew that we wanted a burner that would produce real heat and warmth- not just a ring of fire that looked pretty. Our weeks of online research led us to a Warming Trends burner and ultimately to Montana Fire Pits. Jonathan Howie at Montana Fire Pits was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. He knows fire burners! He was always available (via phone and email) to answer all of our questions before, during and after our purchase. He was a wonderful resource and helped us in making a well informed purchase. If you are new to building or installing a fire pit in your home, Montana Fire Pits is where you want to start.     1. The Crossfire burner is THE best fire pit burner, hands down. There is no comparison between this and what you see at a box store. If you want a real fire and tall flames look no further. If you take your outdoor living space seriously, buy this. No more smoke, no more putting out embers, fire pit is right on our patio close to the house with no worries and pure convenience. Amazing flame pattern and control.<br />
    2. Montana Fire Pits provides the best customer service you could ask for. Jonathan answers his phone personally, but the youtube content available answered every question I had without having to pick up a phone. Video content that helped me decide what size/shape burner to get, product comparisons, tutorials, and various demos of burners and media are invaluable. All businesses should operate this way.<br />

    The fire pit is our favorite space in our new home, and will extend our outdoor living season by months! We sit by the fire every night, and have coffee next to it every morning. We eat our meals, play cards, talk with friends, drink drinks, etc.
