Shipping

Freight delivery

For our large items like fire tables:

  • Your fire feature comes fully crated and on a pallet.
  • The freight company will drop off your delivery curbside or in the driveway. Any requests made of the driver for placement of your shipment could result in additional fees that would be your responsibility to pay.
  • You will need to arrange to have the fire table moved to its final location. The freight company will simply drop off your delivery.
  • If your freight delivery is damaged, please reach out to us immediately for assistance.

Damage during shipping

  • In the unlikely event of shipping damage, please contact us immediately.
  • Our damage claim period expires 4 days after delivery.
  • Please inspect upon delivery by opening the crate prior to the freight carrier leaving and checking for any damage that may have occurred during transport. If damage is visible to the table,  please refuse delivery and contact us immediately.
  • Please inspect upon arrival even if installation will not take place immediately.
  • We contract with LTL individual freight companies and as such, we ultimately have no control over the driver, scheduling and final drop-off. Our freight is established as “curbside delivery”. You will be responsible for the movement and placement of your fire table once it has been delivered.

Returns

  • Customer is responsible for all return crating and freight fees, boxing, and shipping charges.
  • Montana Fire Pits is not able to compensate for any installation fees or moving/relocation fees.

Burners, Plates, Fuel Components

*A burner plate or pan is required for use with any ignition system other than match lit.

  • Custom Items: Non-returnable
  • Standard items if Condition is Unused or Like-New:  Returns accepted within 90 days of delivery with a 15% restocking fee
  • Order Change or Cancellation Fee If Product has not shipped: 3.5% cancellation processing fee

Fire Media, Rocks, Logs, Glass, Cannon Fireballs

  • Condition is Unused:  Returns accepted within 90 days of delivery
  • Restocking Fee: 20%
  • Order Cancellation Fee: 3.5% (if order has not yet shipped)

Complete Fire Pit & RTF Systems

  • Custom Items: Non-returnable
  • Standard items if Condition is Unused:  Returns accepted within 14 days of delivery and customer will be responsible for freight charges.
  • Restocking Fee: 20%
  • Order Cancellation Fee: 15% (after 7 days from purchase)

Warranties - Burners and Ignition Systems

  • Customer is responsible for all return crating and freight fees, boxing, and shipping charges.
  • Montana Fire Pits is not able to compensate for any installation fees or moving/relocation fees.

Warranties - Arbor Wood Items

Warranty Covers: Manufacture defects such as warping, cracking, splintering.

  • Warranty: 2 Years
Our thermally modified hardwood tabletops are designed for long-term stability. However, environmental factors such as direct sun exposure, heat, and altitude may affect how quickly the wood patinas or distresses over time. These natural changes are considered a normal part of the product’s life and are not classified as manufacturing defects; therefore, they are not covered under warranty.
We’ve designed these tabletops for easy board replacement by the end user. Please contact us if you’d like to request a replacement kit.

Warranties - Complete Systems

  • Take GREAT CARE during installation and use a soft blanket or towel to protect the vessel during gas hook up. 
  • Damage incurred during shipping: You must call us to create a damage claim immediately.
  • Montana Fire Pits does not warrant against chips, dings, scratches and scuffs during and after installation. If a blemish occurs in your possession, Montana Fire Pits will not be responsible for the repair of that damage.
  • If you choose to cover your fire pit with a soft cover—such as cloth, nylon, vinyl, or any non-breathable material—your warranty is voided for any damage caused as a result. These materials can trap moisture and lead to deterioration of the finish, corrosion, or failure of ignition components. Damage caused by improper cover use is not covered under warranty.

  • Warranty does not apply to damage caused by: overheating, improper installation or misuse, unauthorized modifications or repairs, incorrect storage or exposure to extreme conditions. Exclusions: this warranty does not cover: consequential or indirect damages, normal wear and tear, lack of care and maintenance, finish changes due to weathering or exposure.

Concrete Systems

  • 12 Month Warranty from date of delivery.
  • The warranty covers any defects in the craftsmanship and/or materials of the concrete vessel.
  • Hairline cracks will appear in the finish of concrete over time. These cracks do not affect the functionality or structural integrity of the fire table and are not covered under warranty.
  • To avoid scorching or discoloration, avoid burning on high in windy conditions for long periods of time.
  • Fire media made of ceramic, concrete, or steel must be at least 6″ from the edges of the fire table. Media used incorrectly will void your warranty.

Steel and Aluminum Systems

  • Industry Standard 1 Year Warranty for powder coating finish.  Exclusions: normal wear and tear, extreme weather exposure, and lack of care and maintenance.
  • 10 year warranty for fabrication and structure.
  • Warranty does not apply to damage caused by: overheating, improper installation or misuse, unauthorized modifications or repairs, incorrect storage or exposure to extreme conditions. Exclusions: this warranty does not cover: consequential or indirect damages, normal wear and tear, finish changes due to weathering or exposure.
  • Fire media made of ceramic, concrete, or steel must be at least 4″ from the edges of the fire table. Media used incorrectly will void your warranty.
  • Our tables are all one-of-a-kind and designed to be durable for years to come outside in all climates.
  • Montana Fire Pits cannot control how the steel weathers during use. MFP does not warrant the natural process of steel aging. If rust occurs, there are steps you can take to slow the process.  We recommend periodically applying the Ceramic Powder Coat Protectant or use a low-gloss car wax for exterior use 2-3 times per year to protect your powder coating surface.
  • There will be a 5% change order fee of the order total if requested after 1 week from the purchase date.
  • We are unable to hold on to orders at our warehouse.  Please plan accordingly as there will be a $25/day storage fee assessed beyond one week of the intended ship date.

Installation

MFP will not incur any expense as it relates to transport, movement, handling, plumbing or installation of any fire feature. The owner is responsible for any and all installation once it is in your possession.

All fire features must be installed by a licensed and insured gas professional. MFP will not warrant or be responsible for anything pertaining to installation.

MFP does NOT warrant against any explosions as we do not provide ANY installation services. Installation, gas and electric connections must be provided by a licensed and insured gas professional. Connections made by non-qualified individuals will not be honored in any way. The Crossfire Brass Burner is a certified gas appliance and we use industry standard components and parts.

MFP does not warrant against damage caused by improper ventilation. Our venture steel fire tables are provided with leveling feet which are to be used to create ventilation around the entire base perimeter of up to 2” of clear space.

Refunds, Exchanges and Returns

MFP stands by our product and craftsmanship. Should a situation arise, we will do the best we can to identify the issue and solve it reasonably.
