Metal Fabricator
Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Fabricator to join our team in creating high-end, luxury fire features. This role involves fitting, welding, and assembling custom-designed fire features using MIG welding processes, as well as operating a variety of fabrication machinery. The ideal candidate has a background in metal fabrication, a keen eye for precision, and a commitment to producing premium-quality products, however, on the job training will be provided depending on experience level.
Key Responsibilities:
Fabrication & Welding:
- Fit and weld components for luxury fire features using MIG welding processes.
- Perform clean, consistent, and aesthetically appealing welds on a variety of metals (primarily steel and aluminum).
Machinery Operation:
- Safely and effectively operate fabrication equipment, including:
- Forklift
- Grinder
- MIG Welder
- Slip Roll
- Press Brake
Quality Control:
- Inspect work for accuracy, quality, and conformance to design specifications.
- Maintain high standards of craftsmanship suitable for luxury clientele.
Safety & Efficiency:
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
- Work collaboratively with team members to meet production schedules and deadlines.
Qualifications:
- Forklift certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- High attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and in a team
Preferred Attributes:
- Experience working with custom or luxury metalwork
- Experience operating fabrication machinery (slip rolls, press brakes, grinders, etc.)
- Strong work ethic and passion for craftsmanship
Compensation:
Competitive salary based on experience. Benefits package includes health insurance, paid time off, and retirement contributions (401k match up to 4%)
Warehouse Associate
Key Responsibilities
- Pallet, Crating and Go-Board: Construct custom wooden pallets and crates from scratch to fit specific orders. Assemble Go-Board with accuracy and efficiency. Securely crate tables and large items for transport.
- Burner Assembly: Use hand and power tools to attach burners and ignitions to plates for proper fit, function and adherence to safety requirements.
- Packaging: Complete the final stages of product assembly and crate building, ensuring each unit meets Montana Fire Pits’ quality standards before shipment.
- Shop Maintenance: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace. Responsibilities include sweeping your area, removing debris, and properly cleaning/storing tools at the end of every shift.
- Material Handling: Assist in moving raw materials and finished goods through the warehouse.
Requirements
- Handy with Tools: Comfortable using drills, saws, impact drivers, and other hand tools safely.
- Accurate: Ability to read a tape measure and follow assembly instructions.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift, push, and pull 50+ lbs consistently and stand/walk on concrete floors for the duration of the shift.
- Reliable: Strong work ethic, punctuality, and a positive attitude are required.
- Safety Gear: Must wear PPE when using any power tools.
- Quality Control: Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Compensation
- Starting rate is $18/hour.
