#1 FIRE PIT INSTALLATION TIP
START WITH YOUR FUEL LINE
A key fire pit installation tip is to ensure that you have the correct fuel line that puts out enough BTU's to make it worth hooking up to. You can choose between liquid propane and natural gas. If your natural gas isn't in the right location or doesn't have a good enough output then we recommend choosing propane as your fuel source.
#2 INSTALLING YOUR FLEX LINE
TIPS FOR UNDERSTANDING YOUR GAS HOOKUP
Before moving forward with your gas fire pit installation, ensure you understand the components of that crucial part of the set-up, the Flex Line.
#3 AVOID GAS LEAKS!
GAS LEAKS ARE ALL-TOO-EASY TO MISS
A big fire pit installation safety tip is to be mindful of gas leaks. There are a number of ways a liquid propane leak can occur in your DIY fire pit. This can be very dangerous so be careful!
#4 PICK THE RIGHT BURNER
TRICKS WHEN BUYING YOUR FIRE PIT
One of the most crucial steps to designing a fire pit that you're going to love is choosing the right burner. Flame height, BTU output, flame design, and burner design should all be factors to keep in mind before buying your fire feature burner.
#5 MEASURE TWICE!
ENSURE YOU HAVE THE RIGHT SIZING FOR YOUR ACCESSORIES
Before buying any of your fire feature accessories and long before you start on your fire pit installation, make sure you've measured twice! It's possible to buy the wrong fuel line, wrong burner plate, wrong sized burner, and try to fit them all in the wrong sized opening. When all else fails, trust your contractor!
